Cuban Passion
Their soul goal: to inspire and liberate other dancers to celebrate salsa and the joy of dancing.
Anne and Anichi both grew up in South America (Colombia and Ecuador) and started at a very young age learning the art of dance. They both relocated to Germany at the age of 12 and continued to develop their dancing skills in ballet, jazz, hip hop, and salsa. In 2001, after many years of performing with the "Sabroson" dance group in Freiburg, Anne and Anichi decided to go their own way and perform as a couple.
Their style of dancing has been influenced by salsa styles all across the world. They have trained extensively in Cuba with the "Conjunto Folclorico Nacional de Cuba" and absorbed various Afro-Cuban dances such as the rumba and palo. They have also lived in Milan for several months, developing their salsa style, as well as in New York, taking numerous lessons and workshops with a variety of respected dancers.
Anne and Anichi's dedication has resulted in exhilarating success on the world salsa stage, with Anne and Anichi being the European Salsa Champions (2007) and the World Salsa Champion Finalists (2007). They have also performed and given workshops at a variety of international salsa events. They have also been featured on German television (RTL and Eurosport) and were also selected to be the performing artists in the music video "Chikiding".
